Members Winter League – Sunday 24th November
John Colgan (20) took the honours in the members weekend 11 hole Winter League with a great score of 28 points over the 11 holes. Conor Bolger (12) and Olan Corcoran (8) both scored 26 points, however Conor took 2nd place on the countback. With 2 rounds remaining in this years’ Winter League Mick Dillon and Thomas Nevin are leading the points table with a tally of 68 points each.
Christmas Gala Day – Members are reminded that the Christmas Gala Day and golf outing will take place on Saturday 14th December – the competition will be a team event with a draw for partners to take place at lunchtime. Prizegiving and social evening will take place after the golf along with presentation to respective club fourball and matchplay winners. All members are encouraged to attend.
December Madness – Sunday 15th December 2013
Advance notice of our final Open Singles competition of the year for turkey’s and hams will take place on Sunday 15th December. Timesheet is now in place and early booking is advised following the success of our November Madness competition.

Autumn Series (Singles) – Thursday 20th and Friday 21st November – Owing to a very frosty start that was slow to clear the competition last Friday was cancelled. However there was a good turnout on Thursday with the honours going to Paddy McGuinness – Tommy Bolger, Ger Lynch and Liam O’Dwyer also qualified. The competition is back in play this week for visitors and members with two more opportunities to qualify for the grand final scheduled to take place on Friday 13th December.
Golden Golfers 11 Hole Stableford Competition – Friday 22nd November
Our Golden Golfers were out in force on Friday last with a 9 hole champagne scramble in play. Joe Lannon (13), Matty Byrne Snr (18) and Gay Latchford (25) secured top spot with 51 points, 2nd place went to John Barcoe (12), Peter O’Shea (19) and Kerri Bolger (27) with 49 points just pipping Liam O’Dwyer (9), Pat Murphy (20) and Brigid Mullins (31) into 3rd place with 48 points.
Well done to all – draw as usual next Friday at 10 a.m. – all welcome.
