The Junior Cup Team played against Portarlington in Athy Golf Club on Monday the 16th of April. It was a bitterly cold day and made for tough playing conditions with the wind factoring hugely. However the team managed to overcome the difficult conditions to win against Portarlington and proceed to the next round which is against Rathdowny and to be played in Castlecomer. The details of the team and wins are as follows:

Sinead, Nora and Deirdre won (2 & 1, 4 & 3, 4 & 3) – well done to all the team and to Manager Kerri Bolger for ensuring everyone practised and was there on time.
The Weekly Competition was poorly attended due to the difficult weather conditions – only 8 played (four on Sunday and four on Wednesday) so there is only first place.
The winner was Gay Latchford (29) with 34 points.
