Following a fantastic day of racing despite the foggy conditions on Thursday last, the weather proved difficult for golf on Saturday due to heavy frost and a late start, however Sunday saw a large turnout for the men’s weekly 11 hole competition. It’s great to see the increasing turnouts as all our club competitions help fund the club throughout the year.
A great score of 29 points would have won but after taking the penalty points into account the 29 became 25. So this week 3 new names feature in the winners enclosure.

Spring Series
Last weeks qualifier took place on Friday only with local member Pat Hynes taking the leading qualifying spot with a score of 40 points. Other qualifiers on the day included Martin Donohoe (Gowran Park) 34 points, along with Peter Dunne (Abbeyleix GC).
The competition resumes this Thursday and Friday with weekly Singles competitions through January, February and March. Green Fee for visitors is €20.00 which includes a sleeve of Titleist golf balls. Top 3 qualifiers and equals from each week will go forward to the grand final which will be held on Friday 27th March 2015. Telephone 056 7726699 for timesheet or book online.
