Minor Cup.
The Minor Cup Team had a narrow defeat against Athy on Saturday August 27th. In the Distract Final.The match was held in Wexford in pleasant conditions.The team of Maura Coe ,Catherine O Driscoll,Gay Latchford ,Eithne Donnelly and Joan Murphy played outstanding golf.Maura and Eithne’s matches concluded with losses on the 18th.Catherine O Driscoll had a superb win and Joan Murphy always looked like a winner when she was called in .The five ladies and sub Margaret Bower enjoyed great victories against Wicklow ,Rosslare .Carrick on Suir and Wexford to secure their place in the final.After the match the team and manager Ann Farrell were presented with their runner up badges by Yvonne McSweeney ,Chairwoman of the mid Leinster District.
