The Australian Spoons took place on the 16th May and the preceding Sunday with 16 players taking part. The winners were Eileen Walsh and Kerri Bolger who will go on to the next round which takes place in Kilkenny. They had a score of 38pts. In second place was Ann Mullins and Catherine O’Driscoll with a score of 35pts.
The results of the ladies weekly competition on Sunday the 20th and Tues 22nd are as follows:
1st Hilary Dick (19) with 38pts
2nd Judy Dick (21) with 37pts
The ladies Junior Cup match took place in Castlecomer on Monday 21st May against Rathdowney. The team fought hard but were unable to overcome a a stronger team in the Rathdowney Ladies. Very well done to all the ladies involved for their efforts and commitment – Kate Hennessy, Sinead Kearney, Nora Barron, Ann Mullins and Deirdre Mc Cabe. A special mention of thanks to all the caddies, supporters and of course Kerri as team Manager and Ger Hickey Selector.
