Very well done to the Miele Team who overcame a tough challenge from Mount Juliet. The match was played on Thursday 30th June with the team playing two at home and two away. The Miele is unique in that there are even teams playing so a win is decided on holes up or down.
Gowran had a win at home with Hilary and Judy Dick winning on the 12th hole while Deirdre Mc Cabe and Ann Farrell won in Mount Juliet on the 15th. This was enough to seal the win as Sinead Kearney and Catherine O’Connor lost in Mount Juliet, the last pairing at home of Eileen Tobin and Catherine O’Driscoll were on the 18th and so the win was guaranteed for Gowran.
