Gowran Park is one of Ireland’s leading racecourses and is located 15 minutes from Kilkenny city. The excellent hospitality facilities make Gowran Park the perfect location for a great racing day experience. Be it a corporate day out, a hen party, a family afternoon, Ladies Day or The Goffs Thyestes Chase, a day a Gowran Park will live long in the memory.
Due to Government Covid 19 restrictions horse racing is currently taking place behind closed doors which means members of the general public cannot attend. However, all our races are televised on Racing TV. Like all racecourses, Gowran Park is working with the relevant authorities to monitor the situation and as soon as it’s possible for racing fans to attend again we will make it possible and ensure everyone has the best racing experience possible.

Since completion of the new main stand at Gowran Park in 2003, state of the art hospitality facilities are available on the second floor of the Main Stand Building with spectacular views across the racecourse and golf course towards Mount Leinster.
The top floor includes the Club House Bar & Restaurant and the Rooftop Hospitality Suite.
